Frequently Asked Questions

 

Where are you based, and how far would you travel?

I am based in south Leicester and mainly cover around the east midlands, such as Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Solihull Coventry etc.
I would travel throughout the UK though, venues further than 50 miles from Leicester, would incur a small travelling fee and possible accommodation.

How many photos do you take throughout the day?

Around 250 – 500. Somtimes more, though it does depend on how much of the day is being covered.

Do you have back-up equipment just in case yours breaks?

Yes. I carry two cameras, and my main camera has two memory card slots so it saves the photos to both. I also frequently change memory cards, so that if one were to fail, it would not be the entire day of photos lost.
I then backup all the photos three times when I get home.

Are you insured?

Yes. I have both indemnity, and liability insurances.

Before we get married, we would like an engagement shoot. Do you do that?

Yes I do. This costs £150, and can be done either at your wedding venue, your home, or somewhere close by. I will spend up to two hours with you, and all photos taken are supplied with full copyright usage.

What are your rates?

I have two package, a half day for £500, and a full day for £750. I also offer great discounts if you are getting married in the months of January to April or if your day falls on Sunday to Thursday.

In addition, as each wedding is completely unique, the packages can also be customised by adding any extras, including wedding albums. Please see my package page for more details.

How do I book?

To make a booking and secure your date, contact me to arrange an appointment, which can be either be at your home, or at your wedding venue, and we can to discuss the details, then complete the booking form at that time.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. This is £200. The same for which ever package you choose. The deposit can be paid at the time of booking, or up to 7 days later.

How long will you stay at the wedding?

That is up to you, and which package you decide to go for. The half day package covers approx 4 hours, which is generally up to the start of the wedding breakfast. The full day package covers to after the first dance.

Packages can also be customised by adding additional coverage (prices per hour).

What is your wedding photography style?

I would say my style is natural and relaxed. Often called reportage, or candid photography, as you my forget I am even there, though I do include all the posed portraits, and group shots as you so wish.

Hopefully my style will be reflected through my gallery page, and also on my blog.

I do not like posing for photos. Do I have to?

I hate posing for pictures too! It is your wedding, so if you do not want any ‘formal’ posed for shots, that is fine. I do however, say that it is those shots that you are more than likely going to want to hang on your wall.

How long before we see our photos after the wedding?

Generally between 3-5 weeks. You will receive a link, and a personal password to your online wedding gallery. This will allow you to view all the images from the day, as well being able to select those that you would like to be printed,  or put on to a USB. Album production can take 2-3 weeks longer.
