Rothley Court wedding, Leicestershire
Chris and Lisa decided to finally ‘tie the knot’ after 20 years.
When I originally met with Chris and Lisa, they mentioned that they were going to be planning a ‘Peaky Blinders‘ wedding, as they were massive fans of the hit TV series.
I hadn’t seen Peaky Blinders before, so I watched a few episodes before hand, to get the idea. I am now ‘hooked’!
I met Lisa at their family home, in south Leicester, where she got ready.
A lovely vintage bus was everyone’s transport to Rothley Court.
Chris and Lisa had already had their legal ceremony, the day before, so they had a blessing in Rothley Court‘s Chapel. I think Chris particularly liked the blessing wine!
The blessing was followed by drinks and formal wedding photographs. Luckily, as it was a nice, fairly warm October’s day, we managed to do these outside.
The sun started to set during the wedding breakfast, which was a great time to sneak out between courses and take some photos of the guys. Chris wanted these to portray the ‘Peaky Blinders‘ theme, which was ‘gangsters’. Chris brought along his own props, which included smoke bombs. With some strong, contrasting lighting, I think the results turned out great.
The night ended with the evening reception. This was held in Rothley Court’s Wilberforce room. A rustic, all wood-panelled room, which again suited the theme of the day.
The first dance…. you guessed it. The Peaky Blinders theme tune.
Thank you Chris and Lisa for a great day.
